The Apostolic Church
History of The Apostolic Church Glorious Vision, USA.
The Apostolic Church, USA (TACUSA) has its unique beginning similar to that of the early Jewish Christians who were dispersed throughout the Asian Minor from Jerusalem. The Holy Spirit moved upon three individual Apostolic members (who came to further their education in the United States of America) dispersed into different states in the U.S.A. to start the ministry at their different locations just about the same time.
They were Brothers Gideon A. Akinlawon (now Apostle) in 1986 in Houston, Texas; Ebenezer O. Adeyinka (now Apostle) in 1989 in Paterson, New Jersey; and Timothy Olawuni (former Washington, D.C. District Apostle) in 1992. These Pastors were ordained as Apostles in 2000 by Pastor E.E. Okon, President of The Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Pastor S.S. Jemigbon, Vice President of The Apostolic Church, Nigeria and LAWNA Chairman.

In response to an invitation from Pastor Gideon Akinlawon to The Apostolic Church in Nigeria for the first Thanksgiving and formal inauguration of the Assembly in Houston, Texas in November 1991, fourteen (14) delegates attended: including Pastors S.S. Jemigbon, E.O. Arokodare (late), J.O. Olaninwa, J.A. Alalade, E. Isong (late); Deaconesses C. Jemigbon, E.O. Arokodare (late), Apiti (Republic of Benin); Brothers E.G. Bisong, D.P.O. Balogun (both Pastors now); Brother I.O. Olowogbade (now Deacon); Sisters A.O. Akinfenwa, A. Osinowo, and P. Omoniyi.

At the end of the Anniversary in Houston, Texas two (2) delegates, Pastors J.O. Olaninwa and J.A. Alalade traveled to New Jersey for a conference with Pastor E. O. Adeyinka, with a view of incorporating his ministry, “Rock of Ages International Fellowship” into The Apostolic Church body. Pastor Adeyinka had no objection to this union and instantly (1991) adopted The Apostolic Church, USA (TACUSA).

To distinguish our church name from many other churches with similar name, the suffix, “Glorious Vision” which has been the a.k.a. of The Apostolic Church worldwide was adopted; hence, the church is now known as “THE APOSTOLIC CHURCH GLORIOUS VISION, USA”. In December, 2006, the Lord blessed the Church with 116 acres of land in the State of Pennsylvania which shall be used as our International and General Convention Ground.

Pastor Joshua Aregbesola
Pastor Joshua Aregbesola is a charismatic speaker and preacher whose sermons are so spiritual with great prophesies and accomplishments. Pastor Joshua Aregbesola is also a prolific counselor in Marriage, Jobs opportunities, and other issues creeping in the life of the people all over the world. Pastor Joshua Aregbesola is humble, responsible and will listen with great care in finding spiritual solutions to anyone who meets him.

The Apostolic Church in the northwest suburbs is very active in ministry and outreach. The Apostolic Church, Northwest, IL has been in the forefront of bringing salvation ministering to every member of the church. The Apostolic Church, Northwest is considered as one of several branches in the United States.

The Apostolic Church Doctrine – Belief
The following is expected of the member of the Church :
1. A personal testimony of your salvation in Christ (Acts 4:12; Rom. 1:9)
2. Your acknowledgment of, and obedience to the Order and Officers of the Church, Apostles, Elders, Deacons and Deaconesses (Heb. 13:17; Eph. 4:11; 1 Cor. 12:28)
3. Your presence in the meetings of the church and abidance in full communion, that is, not to absent yourself more than three times from communion without sufficient reason given for your absence (Heb. 10:25)
4. Your conformity with the fundamental doctrines of the church, as well as with the two ordinances, namely, Batism by immersion, and the Lord’s supper. (11 John 1:9; Rom. 6:17;6:4; Luke 22:19; 1 Cor. 1 1:24)
5. That you contribute towards the support of the cause, as taught unto us in the word of God. (Gen. 14:20; 28:22; Lev. 27:30; 1 Chron. 29:14; 1 Cor. 16:1-2; Matt. 23; Heb. 7:8-17)
6. That you keep the counsel of the Church within the Church (Matt. 7:6)
7. That you pray for and help every member, remembering that we are joint members in the Body of Christ. (Heb. 10:24; 1 Cor. 12:25-26; 1 Tim. 2:1; Gal. 6:2)
8. “Endeavouring to keep the Unity of the spirit in the bond of peace” (Eph. 4:3)
The Apostolic Church Doctrine – Conduct
1. Never come to the House of God without praying before coming. (Matt. 6:6; Eph. 6:18)
2. Be in your seat at the commencement of the service. You will thus be a good example to those who are late and neglectful. (Gen. 22:3; Psalm 108:2; Prov. 8:17; Song of Solomon 7:12-13)
3. Bring your children with you to the House of God. Relatives and servants also have souls. It is your duty and privilege to take care of them. (Matt. 19:14; Exd. 20:10; Act. 10:24; John 1:41-45; Gen. 18:19)
4. Make the Pastor your personal friend. His sympathy, support and counsel are needed by you. Constantly pray for him. (1 Thes. 2:7; Joel 2:17; Mal. 2:7; Rom. 15:30; 11 Cor. 1:11; Ep. 6:19; Heb. 13:17)
5. Make the Church your spiritual home (Acts 2:46-47)
6. When conversing at home, never speak disrespectfully or criticisingly of God’s servants, or their ministrations, in the presence of your children. If you sow the wind, you may expect to reap the whirlwind. (Gal. 6:7; Prov. 22:8; Hos. 8:7)
7. Take your Bible with you to the House of God. (Ps. 1:2; 119:16, 72; Rom. 15:4; 11 Tim. 3:16-17)
8. Enter reverently, pray fervently, listen attentively, give praise from a grateful heart and worship God in the beauty of holiness. (Ps. 1 18:27-29; Eccl. 5:1; Rom. 12:11; Jmaes 1:19)
“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise, be thankful unto him and bless His name” (Ps. 100:4)
The Apostolic Church Doctrine – Tenet
The following are the fundamental doctrinal beliefs of the Church, based on the Holy Scriptures and stated in summarized form. Such doctrinal beliefs as accepted and confessed, and the personal experience and practices resulting there from, shall be essential basis of the fellowship and union of the members thereof.
  1. The Unity of the Godhead and the Trinity of the Persons therein.
  2. The utter depravity of human nature, the necessity for repentance and regeneration, and the eternal doom of the finally impenitent.
  3. The Virgin Birth, Sinless Life, Atoning Death, Triumphant Resurrection, Ascension and abiding Intercession of our Lord Jesus Christ: His Second Coming and Millennial Reign upon earth.
  4. Justification and Sanctification of the Believer through the finished work of Christ.
  5. The Baptism of the Holy Ghost for believers with signs following.
  6. The Nine Gifts of the Holy Ghost for the edification, exhortation, and comfort of the Church, which is the Body of Christ.
  7. The Sacraments of Baptism by Immersion, and of the Lord’s Supper.
  8. The Divine Inspiration and Authority of the Holy Scriptures.
  9. Church Government by Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers, Elders and Deacons/Deaconesses.
  10. The possibility of falling from Grace.
  11. The obligatory nature of Tithes and Offerings.
